Café Attendant, back of the house – part time position available
Dia:Beacon (Beacon, NY)

The café attendant back of the house position duties include working closely with the café assistant and café manager to maintain the café menu. Responsibilities also include monitoring the general cleanliness of the dining room, i.e. some bussing; maintaining general cleanliness of the kitchen, wiping down shelves, coolers, and tables, assist with prep for service as well as dishes. The Café is part of the Visitor Services department whose function is as the public face of the institution is to serve the public efficiently, while protecting the interests and property of the Dia Art Foundation.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
Café Operations
- assist in prepping for café menu
- maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen and café area
- help maintain inventory in the kitchen
- work effectively and professionally with fellow café attendants to maintain a friendly atmosphere in the café
Visitor Services
- create an efficient customer friendly atmosphere
- cooperate with other departments and employees to effectively achieve the goals of Dia:Beacon
