“Reactive Materials” with museum guide Crichton Atkinson

Crichton Atkinson organizes collaborative performances that meld theater, video, and visual art. Her multimedia events focus on the connection between memory, nostalgia, and knowledge. Mrs. Atkinson is a docent at Dia:Beacon and the New Museum, where she has participated in three performance art pieces in the past year—Bona Park’s The Box in the Plastic Bag (La Boite-en-sac plastique) New York Version (2012), Spartacus Chetwynd: Home Made Tasers (2011), and Positions (2011) by Public Movement, sponsored by the New Museum and Performa11. Crichton is an executive assistant at the Donald and Barbara Zucker Family Foundation, an organization that supports the arts and sciences with a strong focus on animal conservation.
