Julia Paoli is currently the assistant curator at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Toronto. Most recently, she curated the exhibition Social Choreography at Gallery TPW, Toronto. In 2011, Paoli was awarded a curatorial residency at Vtape, Toronto where she mounted the exhibition The Rest is Real: Video Works by Aleesa Cohene. As a member of the Pleasure Dome Programming Collective, Paoli has co-curated screenings and performances, including Shana Moulton: Whispering Pines (2012) and a presentation of A. K. Burns and A. L. Steiner’s Community Action Center (2011). Paoli holds an MA degree from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
