Iman Issa was born in Cairo in 1979 and lives and works in Cairo and New York. Her 2013 solo exhibition at the Tensta Konsthall, Sweden, brought together text, sound, sculpture, photography, and installation to explore themes of history, and memorialization. Recent group exhibitions include The Fifth Dimension at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, Chicago (2013–14), and The Ungovernables at the New Museum, New York (2012).
