Kirsten Swenson is a Boston-based critic and art historian. She is writing a book titled Irrational Judgments: Eva Hesse, Sol LeWitt, and the 1960s, and is co-editor with Emily Eliza Scott of the forthcoming volume Critical Landscapes: Contemporary Art and the Politics of Land Use (University of California Press, 2014). Her essays on Sol LeWitt and Eva Hesse have appeared in several exhibition catalogs, including the forthcoming volume edited by Veronica Roberts, Converging Lines: Eva Hesse and Sol LeWitt (Austin, TX and New Haven, CT: Blanton Museum of Art and Yale University Press, 2014). Kirsten is Assistant Professor of Art History at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
