About Iñaki Bonillas
Iñaki Bonillas was born in Mexico City in 1981, where he currently lives and works. Recent solo exhibitions include The Story of the Sinking Ship Which Is a Ship and yet Is Not, LIGA Space for Architecture, Mexico City (2013); J.R. Plaza Archive, La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, Barcelona (2012); Double Chiaroscuro, Les Rencontres d'Arles, France (2011), and The Expression of the Emotions in Men and Animals, Hermes und der Pfau, Stuttgart, Germany (2010). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions such as The Imminence of Poetics, Thirtieth Biennial of São Paulo; Resisting the Present, Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris (2012); Little Theater of Gestures, Kunstmuseum Basel, Switzerland, and Malmö Konsthall, Sweden (2009); Utopia Station, Venice Biennial (2003); and Locus Focus, Sonsbeek 9, Arnhem (2001).
