Children ages 7–12 will engage with the poetry of Carl Andre during this program comprising a brief tour of the exhibition Carl Andre: Sculpture as Place, 1958–2010 and a creative typewriter workshop. Led by educators from harlequin creature and Dia Guide Andrea Moreau, participants will create their own typewritten works that will be compiled into a ‘zine. Limited space; reservations required.

Meghan is a doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan, where she is writing a dissertation on the relationship of the Czech interwar avant-garde with movements in other European countries, such as the Bauhaus in Germany and Surrealism in France. Her writing will appear this summer in the Los Angeles Review of Books and in the forthcoming publication When in Drought.
Ian McLellan Davis

Ian is a composer/guitarist based in Brooklyn, NY. He tours and performs regularly with Relatives and Landlady and has worked as an orchestral arranger with artists such as Feist, Daniel Rossen (of Grizzly Bear), and Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond). His work has been featured on NPR, the late show with David Letterman, and Pitchfork. He also teaches, writes children's music, and records a Christmas album for his family every year.

About Andrea Moreau
Andrea Moreau is a visual artist who lives and works in Beacon, New York. She has participated in group and solo shows across the country, including Human Scale
at Brooklyn’s NurtureArt Gallery and Andrea Moreau: Remote Spaces
at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Before moving to Beacon, Moreau taught at Pratt Institute and was the bibliographer at Printed Matter in New York City. She is a Dia Guide specializing in K-12 grade school tours.
