Andy Warhol
Dia's Andy: Through the Lens of Patronage
May 15, 2005 - April 10, 2006
Overview
Timed to mark the 10th anniversary of the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, this exhibition brings together a selection of works gifted to the Warhol Museum by Dia in 1994. Chosen to highlight the range of Warhol's practice, works on view include paintings from the Skulls and Disaster series, Brillo Boxes, wallpapers, and Time Capsules. The exhibition will be on view through April 10, 2006.
A program of Warhol's 1960s films, curated by Douglas Crimp, accompanies the exhibition. The screenings, free with museum admission, will take place each weekend throughout the summer. On Saturday, July 30, Crimp will lecture on Andy Warhol's films.
