Blinky Palermo: To the People of New York City (1976)

The exhibition of work by German artist Blinky Palermo at the Dia Art Foundation, 548 West 22nd Street, has been re-installed in a new configuration. The exhibition consists of a painting in 15 parts composed of 40 panels, titled To the People of New York City (1976). The new installation will remain on view through June 19, 1988.

Shortly before his death in 1977, German painter Blinky Palermo created his most significant cycle of paintings, dedicating it "to the people of nyc." The work consists of 15 parts, composed from 40 painted aluminum panels arranged in combinations of cadmium red, cadmium yellow and black.
