Renée Green
was born in Cleveland in 1959. She has had several recent solo exhibitions including Endless Dreams and Time-Based Streams at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco (2010), and the two-year engagement Pacing at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts (2016–18). In 2016, she was selected to organize the Artists Research Laboratory at the Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como, Italy. Her most recent books include Other Planes of There: Selected Writings (Durham, N.C.: Duke University Press, 2014), Renée Green: Endless Dreams and Time-Based Streams (San Francisco: Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, 2011), and Ongoing Becomings: Retrospective 1989–2009 (Lausanne: Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts; Zürich: JRP|Ringier, 2009). Green is a professor at the program in art, culture, and technology at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning. She lives and works in Somerville, Massachusetts, and New York City.
