The Dia:Guides lead thematic tours and facilitate inquiry-based conversations through the galleries at Dia:Beacon. Art historians, educators, and practicing artists, the Dia:Guides are well-trained professionals whose primary focus is providing access to the collection and exhibitions of Dia:Beacon while helping visitors learn to see and make meaning around contemporary art.
If you are interested in becoming a Dia:Guide, please download our application form here (attach PDF). Applications are accepted year round, but new guides are only hired late October. New hires are required to undergo guide training in December, as well as annual refresher courses. This is a part-time, temporary position, and compensation is commensurate with experience.
