Dia Art Foundation Receives Gift to Endow Position of Director

New York, NY – Dia Art Foundation has received a significant gift from Nathalie and Charles de Gunzburg to endow Dia’s director position. Nathalie de Gunzburg joined Dia’s Board of Trustees in 2004 and has served as chairman since 2006. She was a key member of the search committee that appointed Jessica Morgan as director. Morgan, who has been with Dia since 2015, will be the first Nathalie de Gunzburg Director at Dia Art Foundation.

“It is a privilege to endow the director position at Dia,” said Nathalie de Gunzburg, Chairman, Dia Art Foundation. “This gift is about supporting Dia’s long-term sustainability, celebrating its outstanding accomplishments, and honoring Jessica Morgan’s innovative leadership. Since her arrival in 2015, she has advanced Dia’s mission, pushing the institution to the forefront of the global conversation on contemporary art.”

“Nathalie de Gunzburg has been Dia’s champion for over a decade and her understanding of and dedication to this uniquely artist-oriented institution is remarkable. I am honored by this recognition from Nathalie and Charles de Gunzburg, who are among the most engaged and dedicated supporters of Dia. This transformative gift will have an enduring impact on the institution.” said Jessica Morgan, Nathalie de Gunzburg Director, Dia Art Foundation. “I have enjoyed and benefited from the astute guidance of Ms. de Gunzburg in her role as chair of the board, and I look forward to continuing to work with her as we move Dia forward. A gift of this nature underscores the high value that the de Gunzburgs place on Dia and is a significant affirmation of the institution and its future.”
