Josephine Meckseper was born in 1964 in Lilienthal, Germany, and currently lives in New York. Among her many solo exhibitions are recent presentations at Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, Indiana (2009); The Art Museum of the University of Houston, Texas (2009); migros museum für gegenwartskunst, Zurich, Switzerland (2009); and Museum of Modern Art, New York (2008).
