Christopher Bennett is a scholar of postwar Italian art. He cocurated, with Alma Ruiz, Order and Disorder: Alighiero Boetti by Afghan Women at the Fowler Museum at UCLA (2012). He contributed essays to the publications that accompanied the exhibitions A Proposito di Marisa Merz at the MAXXI Museum, Rome (2012-13), and Pino Pascali: A Multitude of Soap Bubbles that Explode from Time to Time at Camden Art Center, London (2011). He wrote his PhD dissertation at the University of Michigan on the art of Alighiero e Boetti and Pino Pascali and has written for October, Artforum, and Art Journal. He currently teaches at the University of Georgia, Athens, and is preparing a book manuscript on Italian art in the mid-to-late sixties.
