Dia Art Foundation’s monthly Readings in Contemporary Poetry series, curated by poet and author Vincent Katz, emphasizes the experimental aspects of contemporary poetic practice. The series highlights affinities and fosters exchange among diverse poetic voices.

The Readings in Contemporary Poetry series ran from 1983 until 2003 under the direction of Brighde Mullins, resuming in the fall of 2010. Following a one-year hiatus the program will continue in the fall of 2020 when Dia:Chelsea reopens following renovation. Recordings of past readings can be found in the Watch & Listen section of Dia's website.

Major support for Readings in Contemporary Poetry provided by Lévy Gorvy. Additional support provided by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
